Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher's Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in their subject area, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to providing high-quality education to our students. This role involves developing engaging materials, assessing student progress and work, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Course Development: Design and develop comprehensive online course materials in your area of expertise. Create lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that meet educational standards and learning objectives.
- Student Assessment: Create and grade assessments, assignments, and exams to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback. Identify areas where students may need additional support and offer guidance.
- Student Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Encourage student participation, answer questions, and provide support through online discussion forums, emails, and groups.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in online education and your subject area. Regularly help to update course content and teaching methods to ensure they remain current and effective.
- Collaboration: Work with other instructors, instructional designers, and the administrative team to continuously improve the quality of our courses and programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field; Master’s degree or higher preferred.
- 3+ years of teaching experience, preferably in an online setting.
- Strong knowledge of the subject area and a passion for teaching.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with online teaching platforms and educational technology tools.
- Ability to engage and motivate students in a virtual learning environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
